It has been reported in Germany in recent days that Bayern plan to make a big money move for Gyokeres at the end of the season.

The plan is for Gyokeres to be an understudy to Harry Kane for the 2025-26 season before the Englishman moves on in the summer of 2026 to make way for the Swede to succeed him.

However, Gyokeres has made it clear that the club he joins next will have to be one where he is immediately a regular starter.

The Sporting Lisbon star also noted that he will not leave his club during the January transfer window.

What did Gyokeres say

“I want to finish this season at Sporting. I love it here”.

“New club? We will see when the time comes. I want to play, that’s crucial… and there will be also other factors.”

Gyokeres is one of Europe’s most wanted strikers and there has been intense speculation that new Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim will bring him with him from Sporting Lisbon.

Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now and has made an incredible start to the new season, already scoring 23 goals in 17 games in all competitions.

This follows on from his brilliant form from last season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also very interested in Gyokeres.

Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause in his contract and is expected to be sold by Sporting at the end of the 2024-25 season.

He scored again on Saturday for Sweden in their 2-1 win over Slovakia in the UEFA Nations League.
