Manchester United have the opportunity to land Sporting Lisbon star Goncalo Inacio for a discount this summer, according to A Bola.

The Red Devils are likely to enter the transfer market for a new centre-back and reports claim that Inacio is back on their radar.

Inacio has been linked with the club for the past four years and it appears manager Ruben Amorim could reunite with him.

The Portuguese has a £50m release clause in his contract, but Sporting CP are ready to sanction his sale for around £38m this summer.

A number of clubs are monitoring his situation, but United could have a head start, considering their long-term interest in the 23-year-old.

Inacio also shares the same agent as United captain Bruno Fernandes. This could aid in the club’s pursuit of the central defender.

The Portuguese is a left-footed centre-back, but he has the ability to play anywhere in the back three, as seen at Sporting CP.
