Man Utd won’t sign anyone this winter

Manchester United can’t afford to make a loan signing this winter amid their ongoing concerns with Financial Fair Play, according to The Athletic.

The Red Devils have had a disastrous Premier League campaign and they are currently lying eighth in the standings with only 32 points thus far.

The club are already 11 points adrift of the Champions League places and it looks likely that they won’t play in the competition next season.

Amidst this, The Athletic reveal that the club are not in a position to spend in the current transfer window and may not afford even a loan move.

The Red Devils are close to breaching the Financial Fair Play limits and are therefore reluctant to spend any sum for a temporary deal as well.

Hence, the hierarchy are set to wait until the end of the campaign. There are plans to offload multiple players in the summer to recoup funds.

The likes of Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Scott McTominay and Casemiro are all expected to be sold at the end of the season.
