Manchester United are now willing to let Jadon Sancho leave the club on loan this summer.

Sancho, 24, spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and he is expected to leave Old Trafford again after being excluded from Man Utd’s matchday squad for their Premier League opener against Fulham last Friday.

The Red Devils had initially ruled out a loan move for Sancho, with the club preferring a permanent sale, but they are now open to letting him depart on loan – with no obligation to buy.

That is according to iNews reporter Pete Hall, who has revealed that Sancho could leave on a temporary basis if a suitable proposal is lodged.

Juventus, Chelsea and Barcelona have all been linked with Sancho over the past few weeks, but Man Utd are yet to receive a formal offer for the ex-England international.

What has Erik ten Hag said?

When asked if Sancho would feature against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, Ten Hag replied: “We will see.

“We have a squad and I hope we will have a squad with double positioning and when we go into the season after 1 September, that means also you can’t select all the players for a game.

“But you need them all throughout the season because this season will be the survival of the fittest.

“The attitude of the players is very important, sometimes they will be disappointed, but they have to deal with it. You don’t win with 11 [players], you win with a squad.

“The prizes are decided next May and until then we need all the players in the squad and highly motivated to contribute.

“That is not an expectation, that is a demand from the club and from me as manager of the squad. The team is always more important than any one individual.”
