Manchester United left-back Harry Amass could be ruled out for several months after sustaining a hamstring injury at Norwich City.
The United graduate spent the first half of the season with Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship, but was recalled this winter.
Amass ended up joining the Canaries on loan for the remainder of the campaign, but he may not make his debut for them anytime soon.
The teenager sustained a serious hamstring injury in training and has been sent back to Carrington to undergo the necessary medical tests.
As things stand, it is more likely that Amass could recover from the setback in Manchester and could be ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
That could be a huge blow for Amass, considering he has been out of the reckoning for a first-team role at United over the past 12 months.
His latest injury could further hamper his first-team prospects, given the competiton from Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu (presently injured).
