Manchester United have made contact to land the services of Nuno Mendes from Paris Saint-Germain this winter, according to Daily Mail.
The Portugal international has been a mainstay for the French champions, but his future is uncertain with his contract concluding in June 2026.
United have now established contact with the player through his agent and they could make an approach in the upcoming transfer window.
Mendes has turned down the latest contract offer from PSG. The salary package is reportedly low compared to his current expectations.
United could test PSG’s resolve with a January bid, but reports claim that Les Parisiens could hold onto their defender until the summer.
The Red Devils have a good working relationship with PSG, having already signed Manuel Ugarte from them in the last transfer window.
If Mendes were to become available in the transfer market, United could have an advantage over their Premier League rivals in the race.
