Dibling has two years remaining on his current contract at Southampton and he has been heavily tipped to leave Ivan Juric’s side when their relegation back to the Championship is confirmed.

The 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided two assists in 30 first-team appearances across all competitions so far this season, and Man Utd are eager to finalise an agreement to sign him amid a significant battle for his signature.

The Red Devils are one of 17 clubs interested in signing Dibling this summer, according to The Daily Mail, with Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur also among the teams interested in completing a deal.

However, Man Utd reportedly “hold a trump card” in their pursuit of Dibling – in the form of technical director Jason Wilcox.

The 53-year-old has a working relationship with Dibling, following his spell as Director of Football at Southampton before his move to Old Trafford, and this may give Man Utd a slight edge in the race to sign the England wonderkid this summer.

Man Utd want Tyler Dibling

Man Utd have reportedly identified Dibling as a key target as they prepare to offload Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony on permanent deals this summer.

The Red Devils are actively searching for forward reinforcements ahead of the upcoming transfer window, and Dibling has emerged as a potential signing, alongside Sporting CP’s Francisco Trincao.

However, Man Utd’s top target – Geovany Quenda – will not be joining the club as he has agreed to move to Chelsea in 2026.
