Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo during the winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been a regular on the bench since his return from a hamstring injury and he is prepared to leave the Catalan giants.
Arsenal have already made initial contact regarding a potential transfer, but they are not alone in the pursuit with interest from Juventus and United.
The Bianconeri are already weighing up an approach for the defender while United could return for his services after monitoring him last year.
The centre-back was a top target for the Red Devils last summer, but they never made an approach after his hamstring injury on international duty.
With Araujo back in the squad, United could revive their pursuit in the coming days, but it is unclear whether Araujo would be tempted to join.
The club are in the bottom end of the Premier League table and may not be a lucrative project for the 25-year-old in the prime of his career.
