Manchester United are keen on landing the signature of Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen this summer, according to AS.
The Red Devils are likely to enter the transfer market for a new centre-back following a serious knee injury for Lisandro Martinez.
Martinez may not return to action until late November and United need to fill the void, considering Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are set to be released.
Lindelof and Evans have their contracts expiring at the end of June. The former has been linked with a possible reunion with Benfica.
AS now claim that United are chasing the services of Huijsen from the Cherries. The defender has a £50 million release clause in his deal.
The Red Devils have the capacity to meet the price but face stern competition from Real Madrid, who have him as a top transfer target.
Huijsen recently spoke fondly about the European champions. Madrid had initially planned a move for 2026, but are set to fast-track their pursuit.
