Manchester United will have to pay at least £50 million to sign Southampton wonderkid Tyler Dibling at the end of the season.
The 18-year-old has had a fantastic breakout campaign with the Saints and he has been their stand-out performer by a large margin.
His progress has already caught the eye of elite Premier League clubs and United reportedly have an advantage over their rivals.
The Red Devils currently have Jason Wilcox as their technical director.
He was previously the sporting director at Southampton and was responsible for handing a first professional contract to Dibling.
United are aiming to utilise the close relationship to land his services, but the Saints are unlikely to let him go on the cheap next summer.
The South Coast outfit look on course to be relegated back to the Championship soon, but they will still hold out for £50 million.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also admirers of the left-footed winger, who can operate on the right wing, up front or in midfield.
