Manchester United are prepared to finalise payment terms for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazil international has had a good campaign with Wolves, registering 17 goals and six assists in all competitions. He is expected to pursue a new challenge during the summer transfer window.
Cunha has already given the green light to join the Red Devils and Romano reports that the club are now in negotiations with Wolves to find a long-term payment solution for the versatile attacker.
The 25-year-old has a release clause worth £63 million in his contract, but United plan to pay the fee over several seasons. They could be prepared to pay a higher sum for the former Atletico Madrid man.
It appears only a matter of time before the Red Devils get their hands on the Brazilian’s signature. Wolves prefer to sell him before June 30 to balance their books before the financial year ends.
