Gyokeres wanted by United

Manchester United are ready to compete with Arsenal and Chelsea to land the signature of Viktor Gyokeres next summer, according to Record.

The Sweden international has been a revelation since his move to Sporting CP and he has netted 66 goals and provided 19 assists from 68 games.

He has a gentleman’s agreement to leave the club for £63m next summer and reports claim that he is likely to end up in the Premier League.

Chelsea and Arsenal resisted the prospect of signing him earlier this year, but they are prepared to step up their pursuit at the end of the season.

However, they are not alone in the race with United set to provide strong competition following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as manager.

Amorim played a big part in transforming Gyokeres into a world-beater and there are suggestions that the duo could be reunited at Old Trafford.

Gyokeres, who has been described as ‘hardworking’ by Anders Limpar, is likely to prefer a Champions League club which could favour Arsenal.
