Manchester United are ready to cut their losses on the second-most expensive signing in their history after a disastrous time at the club.
Antony joined United in 2022 for a staggering €95 million but the 24-year-old has provided just 12 goals and five assists in 86 games, leading to his falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian has only featured in 27 minutes of United’s Premier League campaign so far and the club have seemingly decided to part ways with their big money flop.

The Daily Mail claim that United are open to letting Antony leave the club in January, with a loan move likely to be sanctioned in order to secure a permanent departure next summer.
The report states that United would listen to offers in excess of €40m for Antony, marking a huge loss on Erik ten Hag’s marquee signing during his first summer at the club.
Crystal Palace and Newcastle have been linked to Antony in recent times, while a return to Ajax has also been mooted with United ready to write off one of the biggest signings in the club’s history.
Antony: From Ten Hag favourite to transfer write-off
Antony has found himself behind the likes of Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order this season after a disappointing two years at the club.
The forward’s downfall represents an astonishing misjudgement from United and Ten Hag, having been held to ransom by Ajax during the transfer saga to sign Antony in 2022.
Antony had been one of Ten Hag’s top targets upon his arrival at the start of that summer but Ajax’s asking price led United to pursue other options.

However, having failed to sign another forward and with a poor start to the season, United returned to Ajax to sign Antony on deadline day, although the Dutch side insisted the price had gone up due to the late stage in the transfer window.
Having pushed hard for Antony, United paid Ajax’s asking price but the winger’s fall from grace within two years will undoubtedly haunt Ten Hag as he continues to fight for his job.
