Manchester United are really interested in signing Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, according to TyC Sports.
The Argentina international has been a mainstay for the Villans for the past five years, but he is expected to leave them this summer.
United reportedly made contact for the shot-stopper earlier this year and it is claimed that they still have a strong interest in his services.
However, a deal could be complicated as United may need to offload Andre Onana first before they can afford to purchase Martinez.
United have no offers on the table for Onana at the moment. They will want to recoup most of the £47m spent through a possible Saudi bid.
As things stand, it is unlikely that United will make a move for Martinez.
The World Cup winner has been linked with Barcelona in the past, but they are on the verge of landing Joan Garcia from Espanyol instead.
Garcia is poised to join the Catalan giants for £21m.
