The agent of Olympique Lyon loanee Endrick has confirmed that he will return to Real Madrid following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
The Brazil international was unable to work his way into Xabi Alonso’s thinking during the first half of the campaign and he subsequently completed a short-term loan move to Lyon when the January transfer window opened.
Endrick has been a revelation since his arrival in France, scoring five goals and providing one assist in six appearances across all competitions, and Lyon have been linked with pursuing a permanent deal this summer.
Paulo Fonseca’s side have won 12 consecutive matches dating back to mid-December and Endrick is now well placed to be included in Brazil’s squad for the upcoming World Cup this summer as a result of his recent form.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with a move for the 19-year-old over the past few months, with the latter tipped to chase a loan deal during the winter window before being beaten to his signature by Lyon.
The Red Devils have also been touted as a possible destination for Endrick this summer amid Benjamin Sesko’s goalscoring woes since his arrival from RB Leipzig last year.
However, the Brazilian’s agent, Thiago Freitas, has now confirmed that his client will return to Real Madrid in July, although he refused to rule out a potential transfer before the start of next season.
Confirmed: Endrick to return to Real Madrid
Speaking to Win Win (via Managing Madrid), Freitas admitted: “Endrick was loaned to Lyon for six months. The decision is already made and Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season. There is no ambiguity or secret about it.
“The deal is only a loan, with no purchase option, therefore Endrick will return. What will happen next season? I can’t predict it, but I can tell you that at the end of this season Endrick will once again be a Real Madrid player.”
He added: “Endrick only played a few minutes with Real Madrid because when he arrived at the club, and if you look at the attackers there, you’ll find that eight of the ten best players in the world are at Real Madrid: Vinicius Junior, winner of The Best FIFA award; [Kylian] Mbappe, a huge and exceptional player; Jude Bellingham, a great player capable of winning the Ballon d’Or; and Rodrygo, a footballer who decides many important Champions League matches.
“It’s completely normal for an 18-year-old player to arrive at a club like this and have [a] few minutes.”
