Manchester United could receive a big injury boost ahead of the Premier League derby against Manchester City later this month.
The Red Devils have had a dismal start to the campaign with four points from nine games, but they have still fared better than the Cityzens.
City have picked up only three points after back-to-back losses, and United have the opportunity to inflict more pain by beating them.
Ahead of the derby at the Etihad Stadium, the Red Devils could receive a timely boost on Cunha, who injured his hamstring last weekend.
The Brazilian has had a lively start to his United career, but many feared the worst after he picked up a hamstring injury against Burnley.
However, he has been making steady progress over the past few days. Cunha has been doing some upper body work outs of late.
He will be assessed again at the start of next week, and could make the matchday squad against Man City if he can recover in time.
