Manchester United are set to make a formal bid to sign Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, according to Turkish outlet Takvim.
The Red Devils are keen on adding a new midfielder to their ranks before the new season and are exploring multiple transfer options.
Sara has been linked with the club in recent weeks, and Takvim claim that an official offer could be made by United in the coming days.
They don’t mention what United could offer for the 26-year-old, but Galatasaray are expected to demand at least €40 million.
Sara was previously with Norwich City in the Championship, but did not get the opportunity to play in the top tier of English football.
He seems to be eyeing a move this summer, but we would be surprised if Man Utd come forward with an official bid for his services.
Sara has the tendency to lose regular possession in the centre of the park and would not be an upgrade on the existing options at United.
