Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has arrived in Turkey to complete his season-long loan move to Trabzonspor, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Cameroon international has been the first-choice goalkeeper for the Red Devils over the past two seasons, but has now become surplus to requirements.
Altay Bayindir got the nod to start in the Premier League ahead of him last month. The club have since signed Senne Lammens from Antwerp to bolster the position.
Hence, Onana has taken the opportunity to join Trabzonspor on loan. The Turkish outfit will be paying a higher weekly salary, but won’t offer any fee to the Red Devils.
There is no buy clause as part of the loan deal, and Onana is expected to return to Old Trafford next summer before securing a permanent move away from the club.
Monaco were keen on landing Onana earlier this summer, but the shot-stopper turned them down to stay with United. He could reconsider joining the Ligue 1 outfit.
