Manchester United could make a January move to sign Athletic Bilbao defender Dani Vivian, according to Fichajes in Spain.
The Red Devils are expected to strengthen the central defensive department and there could be some activity in the next transfer window.
Harry Maguire will enter the last six months of his contract in January and there is a possibility that he could be released next summer.
United could prepare for the same with a new acquisition next winter. The new signing could be given to adapt as Maguire makes way.
Vivian has now emerged as a potential target for the Mancunian giants and it is claimed that he could be signed for around £35 million.
The Red Devils are prepared to make a similar proposal on the table for the Spaniard, who was sent off in the Europa League semi-final last term.
Aside from Vivian, United have also been linked with Sporting CP centre-back Zeno Debast. They are monitoring him at the moment.
