Manchester United have been tipped to land Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a replacement for Joshua Zirkzee at the end of the season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Zirkzee has endured a tough career with the Red Devils and he is contemplating an exit. He could leave the Mancunian giants at the end of the ongoing campaign.
Vlahovic has been earmarked as a possible successor on a free transfer. The Serbian’s current deal with the Bianconeri expires in June next year and there are no plans to renew.
He has his sights on moving to a different league, and United are mentioned as one of his admirers. It would still be a surprise if the Red Devils go ahead and land his services.
Vlahovic does not suit United’s playing style. He is not known for his high pressing. Furthermore, he has been inconsistent in his career and has not scored more than 18 goals in a season for Juventus so far.
On top of this, he is currently earning a staggering salary of £365,000 per week, and it is unlikely that United will pay such a hefty package for an underperforming marksman.
