Manchester United could make a surprise swoop for Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos during the summer transfer window, as per NT Vascaínos.
The Brazilian has had a good breakthrough season with the Blues in the Premier League and has been a regular starter in the last few months.
Despite this, there is speculation regarding his future and reports in Brazil claim that the Red Devils are weighing up an approach for the 21-year-old.
Santos was purchased for around 18 million pounds from Vasco do Gama and it is claimed that he could be permitted to leave for double the price.
United could be in the transfer market for two defensive midfielders. Casemiro is set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires.
Manuel Ugarte could also head for the exit door. Santos could be seen as a quality competitor for the number six position in the next campaign.
Chelsea are no strangers to selling players for the right price and could be open to sanctioning Santos’ sale to the Red Devils this summer.
