Man Utd ready to break the bank on Guimaraes

Man Utd are prepared to pay more than €90 million for Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer, according to CaughtOffside.

The Red Devils have earmarked the Brazil international as a priority target for the upcoming transfer window as they seek to revamp their midfield. A potential transfer is believed to be possible this summer.

Newcastle would ideally prefer to keep hold of the 28-year-old, but with just over two years remaining on his contract, they could be tempted to cash in on him.

Concerns over Van de Ven

Former Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson believes that clubs will have reservations about signing Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven this summer.

The Netherlands international has made negative headlines twice this season for ignoring Spurs’ coaches Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor, suggesting a possible attitude problem.

Van de Ven is expected to leave the North London club this summer, and Man Utd are among the clubs thought to be interested. However, Johnson argues that the defender’s antics have been “off-putting.”

Second source confirms Santos interest

Man Utd and Juventus are interested in Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, NTVASCAINOS has confirmed.

The Brazilian was already linked with a move to Old Trafford last week, and a second source has now corroborated that a summer move could be possible if Chelsea add another midfielder.

Despite his importance to Blues boss Liam Rosenior, Santos is not considered untouchable by the club hierarchy and could be offloaded at the right price.

Should Man Utd sign Hackney?

Man Utd are among the many Premier League clubs interested in standout Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.

The England youth international is a long-standing target for the Red Devils, and he will likely be on the move this summer, regardless of whether Boro achieve promotion.

However, the data suggests that Old Trafford club are an awkward fit for the 23-year-old and that he is not quite at the level to play for a side like Man Utd.

Barcola top of a five-man shortlist

Man Utd have put PSG superstar Bradley Barcola at the top of a five-man winger shortlist, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The France international is seen as an ideal replacement for Marcus Rashford, who is expected to become a permanent Barcelona player after the conclusion of his loan.

The other players on the club’s shortlist are RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, Jesus Rodriguez of Como, Strasbourg’s Martial Godo and Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye.

Tavernier also wanted

Another potential wide option could be Bournemouth star Marcus Tavernier, according to the Daily Mail.

The Cherries could be open to cashing in on the 26-year-old if their valuation of over €40m is matched, making him a much more affordable player than some of Man Utd’s other targets.

Tavernier has netted five goals and four assists in the Premier League this season.

Man Utd to return for Robinson?

Man Utd could reignite their interest in Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson, according to SportsBoom.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to a top club for years, with Man Utd and Liverpool frequently associated with the American full-back. Both clubs remain keen on him.

It is claimed that Robinson could be available for under €30m this summer, and it is thought that he is desperate to play Champions League football.
