Chelsea make shock Alejandro Garnacho move

Chelsea have emerged as surprise suitors for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who has been put up for sale by Ruben Amorim’s side.

L’Equipe reports that the Argentine is a surprise target for the Stamford Bridge club.

While it remains to be seen if they are willing to match the €70 million price tag that United have put on their academy product, it is not the first time that the Blues have emerged as a target for an Old Trafford side. They have also been linked with a move for Kobbie Mainoo, whose future with the Red Devils is also open.

Man Utd legend Paul Scholes says he “wouldn’t worry” if the Red Devils decided to sell the 20-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano on Marcus Rashford’s future

Fabrizio Romano has revealed what doors are open for Marcus Rashford at present.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the football transfer news reporter said: “AC Milan remain interested but still no green light from Man Utd because the loan is so expensive with regards coverage of the salary and all the rest. Milan are still working on the deal to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City and they can only sign one because of Italian regulations,” Romano said.

“On Rashford, there’s strong interest from Borussia Dortmund – they’re also working on deals with Chelsea to get a player on loan – but also Barcelona. With them, it depends on Ansu Fati. If he agrees to leave the club, and they find a good solution on the market, Rashford could be an option for Barca. Otherwise, he’s a strong option again for Dortmund.”

Barcelona, who Rashford has reportedly made the only club he is willing to move to, are plotting a ‘Plan B’ in case they cannot land the England star this month.

Man Utd make Rashford Premier League decision

Marcus Rashford will not be allowed to sign for another Premier League club, according to The Mirror.

This stance has left a string of teams, including Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham United, disappointed.

From United’s perspective, though, this prevents the possibility of the Old Trafford club being left embarrassed by Rashford scoring a glut of goals for a team higher in the standings than them.

Milos Kerkez contact made

Manchester United have already made contact with Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez but they are set to be left disappointed by the Hungary international star.

Although the Red Devils are in touch with the 21-year-old, Liverpool are ahead in the race to sign a man they see as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, according to the i Paper.

Man Utd target Barcelona star Christensen

Ruben Amorim’s quest to find a new centre-back has seen him turn towards Barcelona centre-back Andreas Christensen, according to Sport.

With the Blaugrana turning down a massive bid from Juventus to secure Ronald Araujo’s future, Christensen is set to have few opportunities in the heart of the Camp Nou defence. As such, they are seeking to sell him before the end of the transfer window.

The report claims that United are “studying” the possibility of signing both Christensen and Eric Garcia, although Barca boss Hansi Flick is counting on both to stay.

Solskjaer lands new job

Besiktas have confirmed that former Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as their new head coach.

The Norwegian has signed an 18-month contract with the Turkish Super Lig club.
