Manchester United have their sights on landing Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali as a replacement for Casemiro at the end of the season.

The Red Devils have already confirmed that Casemiro will head for the exit door when his contract expires at the end of June this year.

Casemiro’s departure will free up plenty of wages, and United are expected to focus on making a marquee addition for the 2026/27 season.

Tonali has been identified as the latest target for the Red Devils, given he could leave the Magpies if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.

At the moment, the Tyneside outfit are languishing 12th in the standings with 33 points, 11 adrift of the Red Devils, who are placed fourth.

They may not make the competition unless they win it.

Hence, a summer exit is a strong possibility. Newcastle are expected to demand at least £100 million to part ways with him.

Arsenal are also admirers of the former AC Milan star.
