Fulham v Arsenal – live!
Premier League: Having been overtaken by Manchester City, who lead the Premier League courtesy of goals scored, Arsenal can resume their position at the top of the English football pyramid with a win or a draw against Fulham. Anything other than outright victory at Craven Cottage will be considered a disappointment by the Gunners and you can find out how they get on with Scott Murray’s minute-by-minute report …
Nottingham Forest: In case you missed the big, entirely unsurprising news from earlier this afternoon, Ange Postecoglou was relieved of his duties as Nottingham Forest head coach less than 20 minutes after the final whistle blew to end their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea at the City Ground. The Australian was in charge of Forest for just 39 days after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo and failed to register a win in any of his eight game in charge in all competitions.
The Race for the Golden Boot: It’s shaping up to be more of a procession than a race, as things stand. Erling Haaland scored two today and might have had several more were it not for the heroics of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The Manchester City striker leads the way with 11 goals, while Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is best of the rest with six top flight goals.

Crystal Palace 3-3 Bournemouth: Mateta misses an unbelievable chance to win the game for Palace with practically the last kick of the game. The ball bounced in front of him near the penalty spot, the goal was gaping and he smashed his effort over the bar. Oh dearie me! A brilliant game finishes all square at Selhurst Park.
GOAL! Crystal Palace 3-3 Bournemouth (Mateta 90+6)
Premier League: Jean-Philipe Mateta completes his hat-trick, scoring from the spot to net a dramatic late equaliser for Crystal Palace. The penalty was awarded when Bafode Diakite hauled down Marc Guehi in a Bournemouth box where there was lots of grappling going on between assorted players. Bournemouth will feel very, very hard done by.
GOAL! Sunderland 2-0 Wolves (Krejci 90+2og)
Premier League: Ladislav Krejci slices the ball into his own net past a wrongfooted Sam Johnstone to put the game beyond his side.
Scottish Premiership: Meanwhile at Ibrox, Marcus Tavernier’s big brother James has equalised for Rangers against Dundee United.
GOAL! Crystal Palace 2-3 Bournemouth (Christie 89)
Premier League: On as a substutute, Ryan Christie connects with a Marcus Tavernier cross to lash home a late goal from six yards out and edge Bournemouth’s nose in front with the finishing line in clear sight.
GOAL! Brighton 2-1 Newcastle (Welbeck 84)
Premier League: Against the recent run of play, Danny Welbeck scores with a right-footed strike from the edge of the Newcastle penalty area to restore Brighton’s lead with his second goal of the day.
Championship: Apologies, here’s a goal I missed earlier in all the exictement – Sheffield United lead Watford 1-0 courtesy of a Callum O’Hare strike. As things stand they’ll move above their city rivals Sheffield Wednesday to the lofty heights of second from bottom of the table.
GOAL! Brighton 1-1 Newcastle United (Woltemade 76)
Premier League: Alexander who? Newcastle’s lanky German cult hero Nick Woltemade scores his fourth goal in as many games for the club with the most audacious of flicks past Bart Verbruggen to draw his side level at the Amex Stadium. Lewis Miley’s delivery was a little behind Woltemade but the Big Friendly German managed to steer it into the corner anyway. It’s a wonderful finish.
Scottish Premiership: Come back, Russell, all is forgiven. Rangers are now trailing 2-1 at home to Dundee United.
Championship: Michael Smith halves the deficit for Preston, who are now 2-1 down against West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Championship: It’s 2-1 at the Valley, where Jamal Lowe has pulled a goal back for Sheffield Wednesday against Charlton Athletic. At Carrow Road, Mark Sykes has given Bristol City the lead against the hosts, who are managed by Liam Manning. He left City to take over in Norfolk and it’s not going well for him. Norwich are on course to lose their fifth home game out of five at home in the Championship this season.
Scottish Premiership: Kristijan Trapanovski has equalised for Dundee United against managerless Rangers-in-crisis at Ibrox.
GOAL! Burnley 2-0 Leeds United (Tchaouna 68)
Premier League: On as a sub for Burnley, Loum Tchaouna scores with a sensational strike into the top corner from distance to double his side’s tally. That’s a goal of the season contender, right there.
GOAL! Crystal Palace 2-2 Bournemouth (Mateta 64)
Premier League: Daniel Munoz turns creator again, this time bringing a save out of Djordje Petrovic with a cross only for Mateta to score on the follow-up.
Championship: With an own goal to his name already, Birmingham City’s Jack Robinson has just been sent off after getting a second yellow card for dissent. His 10-man side trail Hull City 2-1 at St Andrews.
GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-2 Bournemouth (Mateta 64)
Premier League: Palace pull a goal back, with Mateta tapping home from a Daniel Munoz cross. The goal is initially ruled out for offside but has now been given.
GOAL! Manchester City 2-0 Everton (Haaland 63)
Premier League: It’s that man again that-manning it again. On this occasion, Haaland fires a low shot past Jordan Pickford after being teed up by a Savinho pull-back.
Championship: West Brom double their lead over Preston at the Hawthorns, with Mikey Johnston making it 2-0.
GOAL! Manchester City 1-0 Everton (Haaland 58)
Premier League: Erling Haaland scores with a free downward header to give Manchester City the lead at the Etihad Stadium. It’s Haaland’s 20th goal in 11 games for club and country!
Crystal Palace 0-2 Bournemouth: VAR-watch: Having intiially (and correctly, in my opinion) decided not to send Bournemouth’s Marco Senesi off for preventing a clear goalscoring oppportunity by bringing down Ismaila Sarr as he veered away from goal, Jarred Gillett is sent to his pitchside monitor by the good folk at Stockley Park. Somewhat surprisingly, given what usually happens when refs are given such advice by their video assistants, the Australian match official decides to stick by his original decision to book Senesi, rather than send him off.
Brighton 1-0 Newcastle: Brighton go close as Yasin Ayari curls a good opportunity wide of the upright after being teed up by Danny Welbeck.
Brighton 1-0 Newcastle: Malick Thiaw misses a good chance to equalise for Newcastle, failing to get on the end of an excellent Dan Burn cross early in the second half. Newcastle have made two changes at half-time, with Jacob Murphy and Lewis Miley coming on for Joelinton and Anthony Elanga.
Nottingham Forest latest: The club shipped three second-half goals to lose against Chelsea and less than 20 minutes after the final whistle, Ange Postecoglou was fired after just 39 days in charge at the City Ground.
After a post-match dressing-room debrief, the Australian was reportedly seen in conversation with Edu before heading for the car-park with a bag slung over his shoulder, while his former players were summoned to the boardroom for a meeting. While all this was happening, Forest posted a short statement on their website saying Postecogolou had been sacked.

Championship: Reece Burke plants a header past Ethan Horvath to give Charlton a 2-0 lead over Sheffield Wednesday at The Valley.
GOAL! Brighton 1-0 Newcastle (Welbeck 41)
Premier League: Newcastle have never won a Premier League match at the Amex Stadium and they’ll have their work cut out to do so today. Danny Welbeck has just fired Brighton in front with a wonderful finish, lifting the ball over the onrushing Nick Pope.
GOAL Crystal Palace 0-2 Bournemouth (Kroupi 38)
Premier League: Kroupi strikes again, scoring his second goal of the game after converting from 12 yards following excellent work in the build-up from Antoine Semenyo. Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson got a hand to the ball but was unable to prevent it nestling in the corner of the net. If Bournemouth win today they will go top of the table for a couple of hours at the very least.
Championship: Sorba Thomas puts Stoke one up against Wrexham, beating the Welsh side’s goalkeeper Arthur Okwonko with an effort that looked suspiciously like it was supposed to be a cross.
Manchester City 0-0 Everton: Iliman Ndiaye plays Beto through in a one-on-one with Donnarumma, but Everton’s Portuguese striker fires wide. His blushes are spared by the offside flag but it looked extremely tight. I think if he’d scored, that would have been given. It’s a very big ‘if’, mind.
Scottish Premiership: In the post-Russell Martin era, managerless Rangers lead Dundee United courtesy of a Thelo Aasgaard strike after 25 minutes. Kevin Muscat is reported to be on the verge of taking over at Ibrox.
Championship: Jay Stansfield has fired Birmingham City level with Hull.
Ange Postecoglou sacked by Nottingham Forest: The latest: TNT Sports have reported that Ange Postecoglou was summoned to a meeting with Edu in a corridor near the home dressing-room shortly after the final whistle and left for the car-park soon after with a rucksack slung over his shoulder. Forest’s players were then summoned to a meeting in the club boardroom. All this occurred within 17 minutes of the final whistle being blown in today’s early kick-off.
Manchester City 0-0 Everton: Everton defender Jake O’Brien has just unwittingly rattled his own cross-bar with a header as Manchester City continue to pile the pressure on his side, who have missed the best chance of the game.
GOAL! Burnley 1-0 Leeds United (Ugochukwu 18)
Premier League: Lesley Ogochukwu nods home a splendid cross from Kyle Walker to give Burnley the lead at Turf Moor.
Championship: Sonny Carey puts Charlton ahead against Sheffield Wednesday, scoring on the follow-up after the visiting goalkeeper Ethan Horvath had parried his initial shot straight back into his path.
GOAL! Sunderland 1-0 Wolves (Mukiele 17)
Premier League: Nordi Mukiele puts Sunderland in front. Playing at right-back today, he picks up the ball on the left, plays a one-two with Trai Hume and fires a low shot past Sam Johnstone, who got a hand to the ball but couldn’t keep it out. It’s the French international’s first goal for Sunderland.
Championship: Hull city lead Birmingham at St Andrews courtesy of a Jack Robinson own goal.
Manchester City 0-0 Everton: Iliman Ndiaye capitalises on a mistake from Nathan Ake and squares the ball for Beto, who stretches every sinew and connects but hits the post. Everton have been under the cosh but should be in front.
Sunderland 0-0 Wolves: Sunderland thought they’d taken the lead courtesy of an excellent Wilson Isidor finish but the curtain-twitchers at Stockley Park have spotted an offside in the build-up and it’s been ruled out.
