Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford could have a future at the club next summer if Michael Carrick becomes the permanent manager.
Carrick took interim charge of the Red Devils earlier this month and he has already secured wins over Manchester City and Arsenal in fine fashion.
If United continue to impress under him, there is a genuine possibility that the 44-year-old could become the permanent manager when the season ends.
Amidst this, The Telegraph claim that Rashford could still play for the Red Devils, which seemed improbable under former head coach Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has been fantastic for Barcelona on loan this campaign. He has bagged nine goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions.
They have the option to purchase him for around £26 million, but their FFP concerns don’t permit them to pay the sum in one payment.
If Barcelona can’t afford Rashford, the Red Devils could reintegrate him back in the set-up if Carrick were to take charge on a permanent basis.
