  • The Premier League club could be at risk of losing out on the winger to Marseille 

Marseille are rivalling Nottingham Forest for Borussia Dortmund winger Gio Reyna.

Forest have been in talks with the German giants over a loan move for the United States international.

The Premier League side have been keen to include an option to buy the 21-year-old in the deal.

Reyna’s contract at Dortmund ends in June 2025 and he signed with super agent Jorge Mendes in December.

Marseille have also entered talks with the Bundesliga side over a deal for Reyna, who has struggled for game time this season at Dortmund.

Reyna has started just twice for Dortmund this season, making 11 further appearances as a substitute. 

He has not managed to score or assists in 12 appearances across all competitions this season.

The midfielder was the youngest American to debut in the Bundesliga, making his bow at the age of 17.

Marseille also retain and an interest in signing Nuno Tavares too from Forest. 

The full-back is on loan from Arsenal who wish to sell but need Forest to agree.
