Mathys Tel decides to leave Bayern

According to Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano, Mathys Tel has now decided that he wants to leave Bayern Munich before the transfer window closes.

Mathys Tel and his agent have long ruled out a move away from Bayern Munich.

However, the 19-year-old appears to have had a change of heart, with Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany both reporting that he’s seeking a move away before the end of the winter transfer window.

Bayern and Tel will now look to explore all the options available to the youngster.

Time will tell whether it will be a loan move – possibly with an option or obligation to buy – or a permanent departure.

Chelsea, Olympique Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt are among the clubs that have been linked with a move for the forward.

Reports have suggested that Bayern could include Tel in a deal with Chelsea that would see Christopher Nkunku move in the opposite direction.

Tel has watched Bayern’s last three games from the bench.
