Maximilian Arnold has put pen to paper on a new contract with VfL Wolfsburg.

The Wolfsburg captain’s contract, which was due to expire next summer, has been extended until 2028.

“Wolfsburg and VfL have been my sporting home for many years. I also feel incredibly comfortable here with my family. I am convinced of the path the club has taken and want to continue taking responsibility – for the team, the club, and our fans. That’s why it was clear to me: I am staying with full conviction at VfL,” said Maximilian Arnold after signing his new contract.

Wolfsburg managing director for sport Peter Christiansen added:

“’Max’ is a very deserving player for VfL Wolfsburg. We greatly value his many years of experience, his commitment, and his close connection to the club. We are all delighted that we can continue on this path together,” he said.

Arnold has played for Wolfsburg since 2009.
