Napoli stars reacted on social media to their latest 2-0 win over Sassuolo, inspired by Scott McTominay and Kevin De Bruyne’s goals.
Napoli had the perfect start to the Serie A season on Saturday, beating Sassuolo 2-0 away with goals from McTominay and De Bruyne.
McTominay, the 2024-25 Serie A MVP, celebrated Napoli’s win with some Instagram pictures, two football emojis and two blue hearts.
His teammate Matteo Politano commented on with a classic Neapolitan line: ‘Comm si fort’ which means ‘how strong you are!’
De Bruyne, on the other hand, celebrated with a short message in English: ‘Way to start!’ wrote the ex-Manchester City star who scored with a cheeky free kick in the second half.
De Bruyne and McTominay also spoke to DAZN after Saturday’s game.

The Scotland international said KDB needs no advice, as, on the other hand, it’s he needing suggestions from the ex-Manchester City star.
Romelu Lukaku joined celebrations on social media despite his injury, writing in an Instagram story: ‘Forza Napoli sempre, well done.’
