Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is really determined to sign Real Madrid winger Rodrygo this summer, according to The Athletic journalist Mario Cortegana.
The Gunners are searching for a marquee left-sided winger and Rodrygo has been earmarked as the prime target. Cortegana reports that Arteta is completely in love with the Brazil international.
The Spanish tactician has deeply studied the attributes of the 24-year-old. He is totally convinced that the forward would be a superstar on the left wing for the Gunners.
Rodrygo is still undecided regarding his future and he is expected to speak with manager Xabi Alonso. He will want the assurance of regular playing time next season.
Alonso has his sights on playing new signing Franco Mastantuono on the right wing, which has been a regular starting spot for Rodrygo at Los Blancos.
If there is any disagreement over playing time, Rodrygo could push for a move. The Santos graduate believes he can be at his creative best from the left wing.
