Mikel Arteta believes his Arsenal side are excited about the prospect of Premier League glory after the Gunners thrashed Chelsea to move three points clear at the top of the table.
Arsenal brushed aside Chelsea on Tuesday night at the Emirates with Ben White and Kai Havertz both scoring twice in a 5-0 win, after Leandro Trossard opened the scoring.
Arteta admitted his side would enjoy the crushing win over their London rivals, but stressed he will keep demanding more of his players ahead of their final four games of the season.
The Arsenal boss suggested his role is to continue to instill belief into the dressing room that they will beat rivals Liverpool and Manchester City to the title.
‘What I would like is that they can manage themselves in the dressing room, they know what we are playing for, they are so excited for it and they are so at it,’ Arteta told TNT Sports.

‘All of them, the players that haven’t played more, they have a very important role and they have been outstanding and that’s what holds the team together.
‘My role is to keep demanding them, challenging them and in the moment making them believe they can do it because I think that’s a very important thing as well.
‘We have a lot of games coming up, let’s enjoy tonight and let’s go back to work.
‘Very happy with the win, with the amount of chances and goals we scored. And with the clean sheet as well it shows the consistency.
‘We weren’t disciplined enough with some stuff we did in the first half and we needed to be more disciplined and we did that in the second half.’
Arsenal moved three points clear of Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp’s side can draw level should they beat Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.
The Premier League title remains in Man City’s hands with the defending champions four points adrift but having two games in hand.
Arteta praised the contribution of Kai Havertz, who struck twice against his former side
Arsenal will next be in action on Sunday when Arteta’s side face Tottenham in the North London derby.
The Arsenal manager also hailed the contribution of Havertz in the win over Chelsea, with the German international scoring twice against his former club.
‘He (Havertz) was unbelievable, in all departments,’ said Arteta.
‘For a nine to score two goals the way he scored, his contribution was great.’
