Milan can terminate Conceicao if targets are not met: Clause details revealed – Football Italia – February 24 latest

Sergio Conceicao is a man under pressure at Milan and reports in the Italian press claim that he is at risk of the sack without a turnaround in results over the next few games, but it has recently been revealed that the Rossoneri can cut ties with the Portuguese if the club do not achieve the targets they set out when he was appointed at the start of 2025. 

It has been a week to forget for the Rossoneri, who were knocked out of the Champions League in the play-off round by a depleted Feyenoord side, before going on to record a disappointing 2-1 loss against Torino over the weekend. 

The Rossoneri are currently in seventh place in the Serie A table, eight points off the Champions League places and 16 points off their rivals Inter at the top of the standings. 

Reports Milan have termination clause in Conceicao contract 

Reports from Calciomercato.com on Monday evening detail a clause in Conceicao’s contract which allows Milan to cut ties with him if the team does not qualify for the 2025-26 edition of the Champions League. 

Champions League qualification is the primary target for the Milan directors, even more so than the Coppa Italia, the only trophy Milan are still in contention to win this season. 

If Milan win the Coppa Italia but do not finish in the Champions League spots, the club are still likely to cut ties with the coach according to Monday’s reports. 

Conceicao’s contract runs until the summer of 2026, which currently earns him around €1m per season in wages, which can rise to €2m per year if he stays on beyond the summer.
