Milan could raise up to €90m by loaned players for summer signings

Milan’s transfer strategy for the upcoming summer appears increasingly centered around the potential of their loaned players, whose departures could collectively raise up to €90m.

This substantial sum is earmarked for reinvestment into strengthening the squad for the forthcoming season.

While it’s not guaranteed that all clubs will exercise their options to make loan moves permanent, some are highly likely to do so, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus are expected to exercise their €14m option to purchase Pierre Kalulu, securing his permanent transfer to Allianz Stadium. The defender has impressed during his time in Turin, making a significant impact in defence despite the Bianconeri’s struggles.

Alvaro Morata moved to Galatasaray on loan last January, signing a one-year temporary deal until the winter of 2026. However, Milan hope that the Turkish giants will pay €8m within the summer to sign the striker permanently.

Empoli have the option to purchase goalkeeper Denis Vasquez for €1m and striker Lorenzo Colombo for €7m. While the modest fee for the former may encourage Empoli to secure his services, the likelihood of Colombo’s permanent transfer appears lower.

Midfielders Yacine Adli, Ismael Bennacer, and Tommaso Pobega are currently loaned out, with buy options that could collectively generate an additional €34m. However, it’s premature to determine whether their respective clubs will exercise these options, and Milan will await further developments.

What looks certain is that Napoli will hardly pay €23m to sign Noah Okafor permanently at the end of his six-month loan, meaning the forward is expected to return to the San Siro next summer.
