Multiple sources in Italy claim Sergio Conceiçao won’t continue at Milan beyond the summer if he fails to qualify for the Champions League this season, while Repubblica reports Gerry Cardinale is considering appointing Fabio Paratici or Andrea Berta as new club director.

Milan are expected to drastically change the team and the club’s organisation next summer, especially if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Repubblica says coach Conceiçao will surely leave San Siro if he fails to achieve Champions League qualification.

Conceiçao is contracted with Milan until 2026, but the club have an option to terminate the agreement at the end of the season. Some Milan players, including Christian Pulisic, are said to be on bad terms with their coach.

Gazzetta confirms Milan’s Champions League qualification will be crucial for Conceiçao’s future, although improving the playing style could also help the Portuguese remain at the helm.

Repubblica adds that Gerry Cardinale is also working to change the club’s organisation. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to remain in charge as an advisor, but the Milan owner is working in ‘first person’ to get a new, experienced sporting director to partner Ibra.

According to the report, the primary names on Cardinale’s agenda are ex-Juventus and Tottenham directors Paratici and Berta, who recently left Atletico Madrid after 12 successful years at the club.
