Milan increasingly optimistic as Hojlund opens up to move away from Man United – Football Italia

Wednesday’s reports indicate that Milan are increasingly optimistic that they will be able to strike a deal for former Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, who is reportedly opening up to the idea of a move away from Manchester United this summer. 

Milan are still on the search for a new centre-forward to compete with Santiago Gimenez, who is currently the only senior striker in the Rossoneri squad. Hojlund and Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic have been the leading candidates in the month of August. 

Reports last week claimed that there was a basic agreement in place between Milan and Man United over a potential loan deal with an option to buy. The Rossoneri would reportedly pay a fee of €6m to bring Hojlund on board for the season, with the buy option set at €40m. 

Reports Hojlund opening up to Milan move

The player, at the time, however, was not fully convinced about the move to San Siro. 

According to reports from various outlets on Wednesday, though, including from Fabrizio Romano and the front page of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hojlund is now opening up to the idea of joining Milan this window. 

Wednesday’s update indicates that the move is advancing, and that Milan are increasingly confident of getting a deal done.
