Ardon Jashari is closing in on a return for Milan after two months on the sidelines with a fractured fibula.

The Swiss midfielder, one of Milan’s headline summer signings, suffered the injury in late August during training following a collision with Santiago Giménez, shortly after making two substitute appearances against Bari and Cremonese at the start of the season.

Comeback timeline for Milan new boy Jashari

According to Tuttosport, via MilanNews, Jashari’s recovery is progressing smoothly, and he could return to full training by the end of October.

The club hopes to have him back in contention for the home match against Roma on November 2, though if he’s not ready, the target shifts to the trip to Parma on November 8.

If there’s any delay, Milan may wait until after the international break, when the Derby della Madonnina takes place on November 23.

Milan’s medical staff are taking no risks, ensuring the 23-year-old returns only when fully fit.

Allegri’s plan for Jashari

Once available, Jashari will face a tough battle for minutes in a midfield currently dominated by Youssouf Fofana, Luka Modric, and Adrien Rabiot. With Samuele Ricci and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also struggling for game time, competition is fierce.

Reports suggest Max Allegri views Jashari as a natural alternative to Modric, capable of dictating play in deeper areas thanks to his vision and intelligence. Ricci, meanwhile, is expected to feature more often as a mezzala, giving the coach flexibility between creativity and control in central areas.
