Although Minjae Kim is still dealing with Achilles tendon issues, he is expected to be part of Bayern’s squad for the Club World Cup.
Minjae Kim missed the final three matches of Bayern Munich’s 2024/25 Bundesliga campaign due to ongoing Achilles tendon issues.
Despite the injury still troubling him, Munich-based tabloid TZ reports that the centre-back is expected to be part of the Bayern squad travelling to the Club World Cup.
While Kim is unlikely to feature in the group stage, he could become an option later in the tournament.
Bayern’s situation in central defence has been eased by the agreement with Bayer Leverkusen that will see Jonathan Tah join the squad in time for the competition in the United States.
Additionally, Dayot Upamecano has returned to training as he continues his recovery from a long-term injury.
