Thiago Motta visited Juventus’ training camp for the last time on Monday morning but didn’t get the chance to bid farewell to the Bianconeri players, though he did accidentally run into his successor, Igor Tudor.

The Italo-Brazilian manager was officially dismissed on Sunday while spending time with his family at his home in Cascais, Portugal.

Upon returning to Italy, his tasks included collecting his personal belongings and saying a final goodbye to the club’s staff.

Motta met Tudor in his last visit to Juventus training camp

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, no players were present to greet Motta during his final visit to the Continassa training center, as Tudor’s first training session was scheduled for the afternoon.

Aside from Samuel Mbangula and Gleison Bremer, who posted messages of gratitude on social media, most players remained silent following Motta’s dismissal, fueling speculation about his reportedly strained relationship with parts of the squad.

However, Gazzetta reported that several players reached out to their former coach privately.

The former Bologna boss was described as being in good spirits after his sacking, convinced that he could have led Juventus to a top-four finish but aware that the experience will be valuable for the future.

Motta also briefly crossed paths with the newly appointed Tudor at the training camp, sharing a brief but friendly exchange.

Meanwhile, Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli reportedly sent him a farewell message via text.
