Muller to continue career: “I still have the desire to play football”

Here’s what Thomas Müller said in his latest interview regarding his career.

In an interview with ZDF, Thomas Müller confirmed that he has decided to continue playing football rather than retire.

“I still have the desire to play football and have therefore decided to continue. I will continue to be a footballer.

“I love the football stage and the pressure to perform. As long as my body can handle it, I want to take advantage of the opportunity.

“Even though I’ll no longer be in Europe or playing for the Champions League – I’m starting to get excited.

“I’m aware that when you leave FC Bayern, the conditions are different, but I’m looking forward to that too,” he explained.

Regarding a potential MLS move as the next stage of his career, the German veteran neither confirmed or denied it as a possibility.

“Of course I’ve been thinking about these topics and thinking outside the box. The MLS is certainly an interesting league – especially with the World Cup in America next year,” he said.
