With the final negotiations of his term and salary concluded, Julian Nagelsmann’s rollout as the German national team’s 11th Bundestrainer is set to take place tomorrow. This is reported by Germany’s “Sport Bild” tabloid, German broadcaster “Sport1”, and Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. These sources claim that Nagelsmann’s contract is inked and only small details regarding the 36-year-old’s support staff still need to be clarified.

The appointment will give Nagelsmann precisely 22 days to prepare his staff for the German Nationalmannschaft’s first fixture under his leadership. The German national team will hop across the pond during the October international break to play two friendlies against the USMNT (in Hartford, Connecticut) and Mexico (in Philadelphia, PA).

It remains to be seen which assistants will join Nagelsmann in the job. Germany’s Süddeutsche Zeitung reports that Nagelsmann’s long-time confidant Benjamin Glück will accompany him. Former Bayern striker Sandro Wagner, who assisted interim trainer Rudi Völler on the bench against France last week, will also remain on board according to the paper.
