Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala is making progress in his recovery from the muscle bundle tear in his left hamstring suffered in April.
“I’m doing well, following my program, and everything is going according to plan,” Musiala told Bild.
The 22-year-old is aiming to return in time to be part of Germany’s squad for the UEFA Nations League Final Four in June.
“When I’ll be fully back in team training is still unclear. But I absolutely want to be part of the Nations League squad – that’s my goal,” he said.
Germany will take on Portugal in the Nations League semifinal on June 4 in Stuttgart, while Spain and France clash in the other semifinal. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann is set to announce his squad on May 22.
Following the Nations League, Bayern will travel to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup, which takes place from June 14 to July 13.
