Julian Nagelsmann will be part of the summer’s managerial merry-go-round and he is keen on a Premier League job, according to a report.
As things stand, the German men’s national team boss will leave his role after EURO 2024. The 36-year-old said as much last month when asked if he would stay on board beyond the tournament on home soil: “I haven’t thought about it yet. Since my contract ends after the EURO, I would say: as it stands now, no.”
This has, naturally, made Nagelsmann a sought-after commodity. Though his reputation took something of a hit when he was sacked by Bayern last year, the German remains highly rated and the Bavarians’ Thomas Tuchel fiasco has made it clear that the dismissal was an ill-advised, knee-jerk decision.

There is one potential problem with Nagelsmann: his Germany commitments. EURO 2024 will stretch deep into the summer, meaning that he would not be able to take charge of his new side right from the start of pre-season. To mitigate the issue somewhat, the coach wants to have his future sorted out before the start of the tournament.

Nagelsmann keen on Premier League job
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg recently reported that Nagelsmann already wants to have clarity on his next job as early as April or May. Now, HITC claims that the tactician’s representatives have made Premier League clubs aware of his availability.
The report asserts that Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle have been contacted by intermediaries, while Chelsea could also look to return for Nagelsmann should they sack Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues had already wanted the German last year.

Erik ten Hag and Eddie Howe are under pressure at Man Utd and Newcastle, respectively, while Liverpool are looking for a successor to Jurgen Klopp, though their top target remains Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso.
Nagelsmann is also said to be the subject of internal discussions at Barcelona, who will need to replace Xavi, and Borussia Dortmund, with Edin Terzic in a similarly tricky situation as Ten Hag, Pochettino and Howe.
