Napoli are advancing in talks with Manchester United to sign Rasmus Hojlund, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Serie A giants are keen on landing a new marksman this summer following a long-term injury for Romelu Lukaku.
Hojlund has been earmarked as a top target for the Naples outfit, and they are now looking to find an agreement with United.
United are open to a loan with an option or obligation to buy. However, Hojlund prefers a mandatory buy clause for a deal.
The Dane wants assurances of a long-term future at Napoli, and does not want to return to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.
Hojlund was initially reluctant to leave United, but he has now decided to move on following the arrival of Benjamin Sesko.
The 22-year-old is aware that his playing time could be reduced drastically, and has opted to pursue a new challenge this summer.
AC Milan had also shown a keen interest in him, but they are now on the cusp of landing Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen.
