Napoli prepared to enter talks to sign 25yo Arsenal star

Napoli are prepared to enter negotiations with Arsenal to sign defender Jakub Kiwior during the summer transfer window, according to Il Mattino.

The Gunners could enter the transfer market for a marquee centre-back and it could depend on Kiwior heading for the exit door this summer.

Kiwior has been a good deputy behind William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. He has been brilliant in the latter’s injury absence.

However, the 25-year-old has not ruled out a possible exit. He could push for regular first-team football during the course of the 2025/26 campaign.

Il Mattino claim that Napoli are prepared to revive their long-term pursuit and could be willing to negotiate a permanent transfer this time around.

Arsenal turned down a loan offer from the Naples outfit for Kiwior in January and they are now expected to hold out for €35 million.

The Gunners were keen on landing Dean Huijsen before his move to Real Madrid. They could turn to an alternative if Kiwior makes way.
