Donyell Malen enjoyed a dream start to his Roma career as the Giallorossi secured a 2-0 away win against Torino, with the Dutch forward scoring on his debut and immediately striking up an understanding with Paulo Dybala.

Malen, who joined Roma on loan from Aston Villa with an obligation to buy if the club qualify for the Champions League, was introduced straight into the starting XI and wasted little time making an impact.

The Dutchman also highlighted his early connection with Dybala, suggesting it could become a key weapon for Roma going forward.

“He found me three times, I think I could have scored one more,” Malen added. “He has great vision. I think we can build on this.”

Roma will hope the instant chemistry between their new signing and Paulo Dybala proves decisive as they push for a top-four finish and look to secure the conditions that would turn his move into a permanent one.
