Newcastle star Joelinton’s home has been burgled again – and he has begged for a ‘safe space for my family’.

The Brazilian midfielder revealed thieves targeted his home for the second time in 2024 following a January raid.

He posted across his social media accounts: ‘Our home was broken into again. To anyone considering doing this – please know that there is nothing valuable left here!

‘What we care about most is our family’s safety and our kids growing up without fear.

‘We hope for a community where our children, and everyone’s children, feel safe.

‘We ask that our home be respected as a safe space for our family. We simply want to live in peace.’

It comes exactly 10 months after Joelinton was burgled while he and his family watched Newcastle’s 3-2 defeat by Manchester City at St James’ Park last season.

He received a security alert on his mobile phone and immediately informed police that three men were in his Darras Hall home.

The property, where Joelinton lives with his partner and three children, was empty at the time.

Officers responded and a police helicopter was dispatched but the intruders had fled the scene.

Joelinton is just one of a number of Premier League players that have been burgled in the past 12 months.

In April this year, the South American’s team-mate Alexander Isak’s house in Northumberland was targeted.

Following the first robbery, Northumbria Police said officers were deployed to the scene, but the burglars had fled by the time they arrived

Meanwhile, Man City and England star Jack Grealish’s house was targeted last Christmas whilst his family were at home watching him play on TV.

Raiders took £1million’s worth of jewellery during the Boxing Day burglary.

His City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne, meanwhile, saw his 70-acre home in Belgium broken into in early December while he was in Saudi Arabia for the Club World Cup.
