FC Nürnberg have confirmed the return of Tim Drexler on loan from TSG Hoffenheim for another season. No purchase option was reportedly included in the deal.
The 20-year-old defender spent the second half of last season with Nürnberg and will now continue to gain experience in the 2. Bundesliga. Drexler, a German U20 international, remains contracted to Hoffenheim until 2028, despite also being courted by Dynamo Dresden earlier this year.
Nürnberg announced the move on social media, noting Drexler will wear the number 15 shirt: “Our former number 5 comes back for one more year. Welcome back, Tim Drexler!”
