The Elversberg skipper is making the jump to Bundesliga football in Bavaria.
FC Augsburg has secured one of the most sought-after 2. Bundesliga players in Robin Fellhauer, the club have announced.
The captain of SV Elversberg will move from the Saarland side, who almost bagged topflight promotion in May, to Die Fuggerstadters.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who can also play as a central defender or on the right flank, has a contract valid until June 30, 2029.
Both clubs have agreed not to disclose further details of the transfer fee paid for the German’s services.
After Fellhauer said it was his dream to play in the Bundesliga, Augsburg’s managing director Michael Ströll expressed his delight at the transfer:
“Robin fits our requirements perfectly: He’s a strong runner and tackling player, versatile, and also has attacking qualities.
“We’re delighted that we were able to bring one of the top players of the last second division season to FC Augsburg,” he said
