Bologna confirm they won’t make Tommaso Pobega and Davide Calabria’s moves permanent, which means the Italian midfielder will return to Milan, while the defender will be available as a free agent.

Bologna have decided against making Pobega and Calabria’s loan moves permanent, which means today is formally their last day at the club.

Bologna announced their decision through a brief social media statement on Monday, in which they thanked the pair and Estanis Pedrola, who returns to Sampdoria.

Pobega joined Bologna on an initial loan deal from Milan last summer, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

The Italian midfielder returns to Milan, where his contract expires in 2027.

Calabria, on the other hand, moved to the Stadio Dall’Ara in the winter transfer window, but his contract with Milan expires today, and with the Rossoneri unwilling to extend, the 28-year-old will be without a club starting tomorrow, July 1, 2025.

Como and Galatasaray had previously been linked with Calabria’s possible free transfer this summer.
